Caster Oil Pack Instructions

Caster Oil Pack Instructions

Use over the uterus, ovaries, liver, scars or cysts on the body.

  • The idea is to do a caste roil pack for a long period of time to let the heat warm up and thin the tik oil and be absorbed by the body. Caster oil goes through the skin, fat, muscles and tissues in the body and breaks down any accumulations that aren't supposed to be there (eg: cysts, scar tissues, blockages in fallopian tubes and liver ducts).

Here are the instructions for how to make and use your castor oil pack at home. This can be a beautiful ritual to support relaxation, circulation, digestion, hormone balance and overall pelvic/abdominal health.

What you’ll need:

• 100% organic Castor oil (this can be found in health food stores, not Coles)
• Glad wrap/muslin cloth (traditionally glad wrap is used, however I am weary of microplastics, so muslim cloth can also be used as an alternative).
• An old tea towel.
• A wheat bag or hot water bottle
• An old towel underneath you (castor oil can stain fabrics)

How to make your pack:

  1. Cover desired area with caster oil.

  2. Cover with gladwrap or muslin cloth (this stops the teatowel from absorbing all the oil and stops the plastic from melting).

  3. Next layer the teatowel.

  4. Cover with a wheatbag or hot water bottle.

  5. Keep warming up the wheatbag and sit for 30 mins minimum.

A few extra notes:

• Wear old clothing, as castor oil can stain.
• You can reuse the cloth multiple times, simply store it in a sealed container or ziplock bag in the fridge between uses.
• Aim for 3–5 times per week unless advised otherwise.
Avoid using during heavy bleeding, pregnancy (unless specifically advised), during and after embryo transfers or over broken skin/infections.
